New format of eTDS Returns from 1-Oct-2009
From October 1st 2009 onwards, organizations would need to file their eTDS returns in a new format as specified by the Income Tax Department.

Income Tax Department issues CBDT notification
The Income Tax Department has released a CBDT notification to be published in the gazette.
As per the notification:
(1) These rules may be called the Income-tax ( 8th Amendment) Rules, 2009.
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2009
